Satyrium ilicis (Esper, [1779])   

 

Range: Europe, Turkey, the Near East.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Widespread from sea level to ca. 1700 m.

Habitat: Bushy glades in, and margins of, deciduous forests with oak.

Bionomics: One generation from May till July. Larval host-plant: Quercus (Fagaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Widespread and abundant. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
