Pararge petropolitana (Fabricius, 1787)   

Name in Tolman & Lewington (1997): Lasiommata petropolitana
 
Range: Temperate Eurasia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Mostly in the high mountains between 800 and 2100 m a.s.l., also in NE Bulgaria at ca. 200 m.

Habitat: Mostly moist semi-open places (glades, meadows, clearings and roadsides) in mixed and coniferous forest.

Bionomics: Two generations from April till September. Larval host-plants: grasses (Poaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Presently considered relatively rare and local, but in fact relatively widespread and common. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
