Leptidea reali Reissinger, 1989
Systematics: See Leptidea sinapis.
Range: Europe, Asia to W Siberia.
Distribution in Bulgaria: Insufficiently known. There are single finds from NE, SE and SW Bulgaria from sea level to about 2000 m. According to my sporadic observations, this species is much more local and rare than L. sinapis.
Habitat: Diverse bushy grassy places.
Bionomics: Similar to L. sinapis. Two or three generations depending on altitude, from April till September. Larval host-plants: Lathyrus (Fabaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).
Conservation status: Needs systematic research. IUCN category: Data Deficient.
