Hesperia comma (Linnaeus, 1758)

Range: Eurasia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Local throughout the country up to ca. 1500 m a.s.l.

Habitat: Dry grassy stony or sandy places.

Bionomics: One generation from June till September.  Larval host-plants: grasses (Poaceae).

Conservation status: Local, but not threatened. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
