Hamearis lucina (Linnaeus, 1758)   


Range: Endemic to Europe: from Spain across C and S Europe to E Balkan Peninsula and Ural.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Widespread up to ca. 1600 m a.s.l. (Abadjiev 2001).

Habitat: Grassy bushy places.

Bionomics: One or two generations from April till August. Larval host-plant: Primula (Primulaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Widespread and relatively common in large part of the country. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
