Cupido osiris (Meigen, [1829])   

 

Range: From S Europe and Turkey to C Asia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Very local from sea level to ca. 1200 m; mostly found in the mountainous regions of S, SW and W Bulgaria.

Habitat: Warm grassy rocky places, usually in calcareous terrain.

Bionomics: Two generations from May till August. Larval host-plant: Onobrychis (Fabaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Local species with unclear status. IUCN category: Data Deficient, possibly Lower risk, near threatened.
