Range: Temperate Eurasia, regularly migrates to N Europe.

Distribution in Bulgaria: From sea level to 2300 m, but mostly in the lowland and low mountain regions.

Habitat: Bushy glades, meadows, alfalfa fields, grassy slopes etc.

Bionomics: Two generations from April till August. Larval host-plants: various Fabaceae (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Widespread and relatively common. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
