Colias alfacariensis Ribbe, 1905   

 

Range: S and C Europe, W Asia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Widespread from sea level to ca. 1700 m.

Habitat: Warm grassy, bushy and/or rocky places, most often in calcareous terrain.

Bionomics: Two or three generations from April till October. Larval host-plants: Hippocrepis comosa and Coronilla varia (Fabaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Of no concern. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
