Carcharodus lavatherae (Esper, [1783])   

 

Range: S and C Europe, W Asia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Local mainly S of Stara Planina up to 1200 m a.s.l.

Habitat: Dry, hot rocky places.

Bionomics: One generation in June and July. Larval host-plants:  Stachys (Lamiaceae) (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Local but not threatened. IUCN category:  Lower risk, least concern.
