Argynnis daphne (Bergsträsser, 1780)   

Name in Tolman & Lewington (1997): Brenthis daphne

Range: S and partly C Europe, temperate Asia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: In forested lowlands and mountains from sea level up to ca. 1700 m a.s.l. (Abadjiev 2001).

Habitat: Woodland margins, roads, clearings and glades, river valleys, bushy slopes.

Bionomics: One generation from May till August. Larval host-plant: Rubus (Tolman & Lewington 1997).

Conservation status: Of no concern. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
