Aporia crataegi (Linnaeus, 1758)   

 

Range: N Africa, Eurasia.

Distribution in Bulgaria: Widespread from sea level to ca. 1700 m.

Habitat: Diverse bushy or forested places, orchards.

Bionomics: One generation from May till July depending on altitude. Larval host-plants: various bushes and trees of the Rosaceae (Tolman & Lewington 1997). Considered an agricultural pest in Bulgaria.

Conservation status: Of no concern. IUCN category: Lower risk, least concern.
